@TheSalads at the farm

Happy Earth Day! Did you know The Salads roots begin on a Carrot & Onion farm? When we started back in 1988 as wee lads we would jam at The Ziembas farm in The Holland Marsh just north of Toronto, Canada. Here is a pic taken in 1997 in the black earth that makes up these awesome farms. @TheSalads are so damn Earthy!

It wasn`t only Earth Week this week, it was also the 10th anniversary of The Dean Blundell Show in Toronto @DBlundellShow on The Edge 102.1 FM. The Salads all love this show, it`s especially awesome for us when they have our drummer, @Darrin99, on the show to demonstrate his love of mustard. You`ll have to stay tuned to the show to hear what I`m talking about. Anyhow, these guys are hilarious. You can find words of wisdom from the guy`s personal twitter accounts @ItsDeanBlundell and @iamToddyTickles. I also found the funniest guy on their show on twitter just yesterday. ADRIAN!!! He can be found at @greatguy_im. The odd thing about Adrians twitter is that he has so few followers? and he`s following 1000`s. Not sure how he recieved so few follow backs. Normally a follow of 1000 will at least get you 300 followers back. Poor Adrian isn`t getting the love he deserves. Follow him now! Lets get the ball rolling for this young yellow toothed chap! He is a funny dude. We really want him to sing with The Salads if we get the privelage of playing at Sausagefest again. So, please, send him messages of encouragement! It was 420, 2 days ago. We had a great day! Ever want a greater understanding of what it is like to smoke an ounce of weed all day every day and the new intellectual language of ebonics? For this type of important education I suggest following  Samoree Burchett @_paper_trail . I have no clue who the guy really is but I happened across him when checking out the hashtag SUCK. Guy is great fun to follow. While I`m getting ready to record every day and finishing my granola, he`s busy buying blunts for burning his daily ounce of purp kush and once that is near finished he heads out and starts macking honey`s. He does not SUCK. Well, actually he does. He sucks on Blunts.

Finally, lets get real about Earth Day for a second. Its too damn important. I was at CasinoRama last night for the Jeff Beck show and found their ``Green`` program rather pathetic. They recycle! ooooh! These fuckers use foam cups to serve drinks and suck energy like @_paper_trail blows his fat purp spliffs. Follow some folks that are really trying to make a difference. @Surfrider is an awesome one.
